This series, like the Parker books, are hugely popular in the States, but for some reason have not made the same impact in Britain. I adore this series - Lucas Davenport is a great hero, a detective in Minneapolis-St Paul, and the plots are tight and nerve-wracking. Anyone who likes good crime writing will like Sandford's books.
