Sir John Feilding Series

Along with the exquisite Sharpe Series, I also stumbled across the Sir John Feilding series just this Winter. As Bernard Cornwell can transport you right into the middle of the action during the Napoleanic Wars, Bruce Alexander sets you right into the thick of things in London of the late 18th Century. Based in part by the exploits of the real magistrate, the stories follow Sir John, a blind Magistrate of the Bow Street Court and his Runners; all seen through the eyes of his young apprentice. Great, fun reading, perfect for a night of curling up with a good story. (There are 8 books in the series as far as I know.)

And Mr. Cornwell? Thank you ever so much for Sharpe and Harper!
