Shakespeare and the Rules of War – From Athens to Aleppo

The Shakespeare Theatre Company will present ‘Shakespeare and the Rules of War – from Athens to Aleppo” on 11 April 2017 beginning at 7.00 pm  at the Lansburgh Theatre, 450 7th Street NW Washington DC  20004.  This event will focus on Shakespeare and the ethics of war, specifically the rules and treatment of civilians, exploring works like Henry (IV, V, VI and VIII), Julius Caesar and Titus Andronicus.  I’m pleased to be invited to sit on the panel and look forward to a lively discussion!
