Yes, of course, but the risk is yours! And if you forget to send me the return postage don't be surprised if I send them back by the cheapest (and least secure) method. It's a sad fact that books do get lost in the mail sometimes, though I have discovered that if you label them 'Bibles' or 'Temperance Tracts', they always get through. E-mail us first - to get the snail mail address and to make sure that I'll be here to do the scribbling.

I hope so, I really do. The problem is time (and also a problem of my own making). The Starbuck series was going along very nicely and then the television series of Sharpe arrived and it made more sense to write further Sharpe books than to produce new Starbuck novels, and somehow I have never got back to poor Nathaniel. Now I'm writing the Grail Quest, and Sharpe, and people want more of Rider Sandman (the hero of Gallows Thief), so the problem is still time. But I hope to continue Starbuck before too long.

Authors are supposed to be like mothers and not have favourites (but they do). My favourites are the three Arthur books (Winter King, Enemy of God and Excalibur ), and that sometimes upsets people who like the Sharpe books and I can understand that, but I really do love the Arthur tales and wish I could write more.

Because the story is finished and won't be stretched any further. Arthur is sleeping in Avalon and should be left in peace.

Either Company or Siege, or maybe Tiger or perhaps Regiment. I quite like Trafalgar too. The best one, though, is always the next one.
