Mr. Cornwell: Obviously, I am a fan or I would not be writing to you. I personally enjoy your books immensely, but the purpose of my letter is to thank you for writing books which have Patrick, my thirteen year old son, reading. He was bored with some younger series books and was drifting into the ‘xbox’ daze, so I lured him into the Saxon series. He loves it and it has lead to an interest in the history behind the novels. He was fascinated to learn Ubba and many of the characters were real. He has the books from several of the series stacked in his room ready to read. He even suggested to my wife that she buy me some of the Sharpe books for Christmas because “they are really good, and we are reading them together.” We are. Thanks for that. I wish some of the teachers and librarians at the schools would use your books. They would reach many more students and spark some interest in what many young people (wrongly) view as dry history. Best regards. Mick Mills
