Dear Bernard, I am a dowser (diviner) of energies, natural or artificial, and I have just finished reading ‘Stonehenge, a novel of 2000 BC’. A wonderful story, as awesome in its own right as the artefact itself, particularly so considering that no one in recorded history knows the purpose of Stonehenge. My own view is that only the original architect and his/her close confidants knew what the ‘henge’ is for. I have my own theories. I have studied Stonehenge, Avebury and other northern stone circles from afar, also at close hand some of their much older equivalents in Australia. Everything in the cosmos has or uses polarity including us. Including the stones in their circles and if one knows what a circle’s overall polarity is (positive or negative) the knowledge will help to determine purpose. The artefact we call Stonehenge is an aggressive defensive structure. This may sound a contradiction in terms but it is not; how else would one describe an anti-aircraft gun, for example? Stand outside the outer ring of stones about 20 paces away. Hold a pendulum at chest height between you and the stones, swing its bob gently to and fro to give it some momentum then let it act on its own. After a few swings it will begin a clockwise rotation. This tells us two things – first that the complete structure has negative polarity, second that the natural energy every object which touches the planet attracts from underground is being flung outwards in a circular standing wave the same height as the highest stone in the construct. Do the same outside what remains of the stone circle at Avebury. The rotation there will be anti-clockwise. Saban was correct in his thinking that the stones from Sarmennyn would not do. Avebury and Stonehenge are inextricably linked for the stones from the former almost completely built the latter. Avebury is a positive vortex which draws energy from the cosmos and sends it below ground to Stonehenge, a negative vortex the primary purpose in this case being to draw the energy upwards and send it outwards carrying the frequencies of any other energies that might be inside the circle. The frequency of a blood sacrifice would serve as a warning of death to any would-be attacking force. Other than sporadic attacks mostly on the eastern seaboard England was not invaded until 1066 AD and has not been since. Something to think about. Thanks for your inspiration.
