Recently finished listening to The Fort. It was great. This is the first Cornwell book that I have listened to as an audiobook without first reading hard copy although I have heard others. They work marvellously as audiobooks. The Fort seems to mark a departure from previous books describing a single event from a variety of viewpoints. Not having a single narrative made it take longer to get into it but the Cornwell narrative magic did its work and i got hooked. having read everything he’s written i could appreciate the achievement. I didn’t know the history so the outcome for me was a surprise but fascinating. Thoroughly enjoyable. Thankyou. As an aside as mentioned I am steadily working my way through your catalogue as audiobooks. The Starbuck novels stand up really well and I take issue with your comments that Starbuck and Sharp were too similar. To the extent that both are the central characters/heroes true but other than that no. Incidentally could you get your audiobook publishers to always include your historic notes. Some don’t. Hope your well, keep writing. Cheers
