Hello Sir, I have taken great delight in reading all about Uhtred and quite by accident stumbled across this web site. I was a resident of West Drayton for 35 years and as a child used to play on the River Colne at Saxon Way, Harmondsworth and on a place that we all knew locally as Thorney Island so you could imagine my surprise upon reading about this area in your novel.
