As a huge fan of history and historical fiction, I often visit museums, re-enactements and ‘living archaeology’ events. It never fails to put a smile on my face when I end up discussing your books with a bunch of lads dressed in full Viking war gear at such an event, or when over-hearing a young boy ask his dad ‘is that Sharpe’s eagle?’ whilst viewing the Imperial Eagle they have at Edinburgh castle.
