Boothbay will never be the same for me.Like you(that Waterloo cavalry sword over your fireplace is so cool!),I have a military artifact, but from an island off Boothbay found in 1850 and I want to believe is from The Fort period. These articles are history, and make imaginations run wild. That’s what is so great about your books. They connect and flesh out all the isolated items, be they from a list of dates in school, artifacts, or sites,and make them real, exciting, relevant.I am planning soon to stand in Castine in Fort George with your book in hand and look west toward the bluff, southeast and east to the bay, river and land beyond and think about what I had never known had happened so long ago even after having visited Castine before.Thanks again.
