Dear Mr. Cornwell, I would just like to thank you for your brilliant work. Mostly the saxon stories which I have read during the last couple of years. They are absolutely excellent! The writing is fluid, the historic details educating and the storylines never cease to surprise and entertain. I especially enjoy your description of the introduction of christianity to Britain and the conflicts of mentality it causes. Since I’m Danish and not a big fan of dogmatic religion I think you can guess who I’m rooting for! (Even if history proves it to be a lost battle…) The lines you put in the mouths of the Danes about “their wailing god – what good can he possibly be?” are absolutely hilarious. i enjoy that very much! I will take a look at your other work but I am mostly looking forward to the next Uhtred book – he kicks ass! (literally). Thank you again for adding suspense, humor and historical insight to my life! (and lots of blood and spilling guts… :- )) Sincerely, Trine from Denmark PS: I had a Scottish boyfriend many years ago, and he joked that the Danes stole all the british women back then – now he was stealing them back!
