Bernard, I have read ALL of your books (except the “Susannah Kells” books which seemed a mere sales exercise). I was introduced many years ago through Sharpe, picking up one of the books at random from my local library. Arthur, Grail, Saxon, Starbuck, Gallows Thief, the Thrillers, the other assorted titles. I understand your obsession with the Penobscot expedition. I particularly understand your admiration of Sir John Moore. However, this is the first of your books that I COULD put down, sadly. I eagerly await your return to form. My regards and heartfelt admiration. Greg Norton.
Hello Mate I’m arguably one of your best readers having read and re-read all of your books several times. I have particularly enjoyed your Sharp Novels and your Warlord Chronicles. Unfortunately I’m afraid that I found your latest (The Fort) very hard going. Really sorry but it’s the first of your many writings that I’ve not enjoyed at all. The historical references in respect to Paul Revere were interesting. Again sorry but I wait for your new releases each year and this was a bit of a disappointment. How about a continuation of the “Uhtred” books for 2011. Sorry this email is a bit negative. Best regards Mike
