Dear Mr. Cornwell, my names is James Welter and a am a college student at Purdue University in in the U.S. I recently arrived here and at the public library was introduced to you as an author. In three weeks I have read five of your books and have two more checked out. I just wanted to thank you for your works. I love them. I love historical fiction novels and you supply me with many to read. Normally I would just admire an author without notifying them, but over the years I have found that many authors have words that they use more than others. Such as Richard Wright’s novel “Native Son”, however the word he used so much escapes me. But I digress, I find it interesting that you use the word “Welter” so much, as it is my last name.
