Hi Bernard, I’ve only just discovered your Sharpe series through my local library’s talking book section. I love to read, but I also love to cook (chopping etc whilst listening), so you can guess my new attraction to the talking book idea. So,to cut a long story short, I did enjoy Sharpe’s Triumph, (brilliantly read by William Gaminara it must be said)from a) having been to what is now Rajastan some years ago, & b)having found an old book which I found some time ago which you already know about no doubt, ‘The Relief of Lucknow’ by Sergeant Forbes -Mitchell from the 93rd Sutherland Highlanders. This non fiction memoir fitted in beautifully with your story, as ‘Sir’ Colin Campbell features heavily in Forbes-Mitchells story. I look forward to reading more of the Sharpe stories, Regards – Don Sinclair (Australia).
