Hi Mr Cornwell Firstly may I say how much I enjoy your books. I started reading the Sharpe novels when I was a teenager and have read them all now. I think your style of writing really draws you into the story and you feel like you’re there with them. The main reason I am writing is to plead with you to finish the Starbuck chronicles. I read the first four when I was a teenager after getting into Sharpe and enjoyed these more than the Sharpe novels. I have just finished re-reading them and I am dying to know what happens next as I love the stories and the american civil war is abit of a hobby of mine. I realise that after The Bloody Ground we are only halfway through the war but maybe the next book could be set towards the end of the war so you don’t have to write another four to complete the series. I want to know what happens to Starbuck and the legion, to see if Swynard makes a good Brigadier General and if Sally Truslow will ever achieve the respectability she craves. I realise that you may want to work on other things more but please would you consider finishing this series as I’m sure myself and alot of your fans would be overjoyed if it was completed. I hope this letter finds you in good health and thanks for the hours of reading pleasure you have given me. Yours Faithfully Chris Elgy
