I have just finished ‘The Fort’ and though it was a good story it was not up to your usual work. It seemed as a junior was writing the book for you. The book ended without any glamor, excitement or heroes. NO Sharpe here. Neither the British not the Rebels appeared capable of winning any war. I have read most (30-40 +) of your books and I have enjoyed this one the least. Sorry.
