I am an American who happened to catch a somewhat interesting documentary on King Alfred the Great’s plight against the Danes. Coincidentally, I picked up your tale, The Last Kingdom after glancing at the cover and was amused that someone had written a fictional story based on true history. It was a wonderful story and I am a new fan, I cant wait to read the rest of your works. Thank You!
