I just finished the Starbuck chronicles and I loved them. I read your section about Nate’s extended time off but being in the marine corps I will tell you, no one in the military gets that much time off. If I would have known there was the world’s largest cliff hanger at the end of the fourth book I would have waited to read the series until it was finished. Now I am stuck guessing or coming up with my own story to fill the time.. I was also happy to read the 5th of the saxon stories. The first came out the year I got married and I bought it on my honeymoon and so far I have gotten one a year since. It is a strong story line with very well developed characters. The Last Kkingdom was the first of your books that I had bought and now I have that whole series, the Starbuck chron, I just read Redcoat, the Grail Quest, the Archers tale, and my personal favorite, the Arthur books. I am planning on picking up the fort today after work and I leave for Afghanistan in March but when I get back my wife says that I can get started on the Sharpe’s books. I am sure that you get emails like this a lot from people that list all the books that they have gotten and I am sorry for rambling like the rest of them but I can’t begin to tell you how much joy I have shared with my wife by turning off the tv and sitting there with her while she reads and opening the latest book that I bought. I don’t really fit in to well with my peers. I am in the infantry. I am a mortar-man and I use an m224 60mm mortar but I get a lot of flak because I am always nose deep in a book, usually it is one of yours. What I am hoping for is to leave in March and when I get back find out that the next Starbuck book is in the works. Thanks for your time and keep them coming. semper fi James Harter
