I understand that you are hoping to add to the “Starbuck Chronicles” and thought that you may be interested to hear what the real rebel yell sounded like. I happened upon whilst on Youtube, but unfortunately cannot appear to post a link. Suffice to say the sound reproduced is nothing like I imagined it to be. That said it is, in my opinion, frightening and primordial. I certainly pity the Union soldiers who heard this sound (perhaps an early example of psyops).
