We both have read nearly ALL of your books. Love you! Thought you might enjoy this article from the San Diego Union 6/15/10: Curtain calls Sigurd Eysteinsson, a first-century Viking warlord otherwise known as Sigurd the Mighty, was killed by the severed head of his longtime enemy Mael Brigte, a Pictish nobleman who ruled in what is now Scotland. Mael was sometimes known as Mael Brigte the Bucktoothed or Mael Brigte Tusk. It seems after Sigurd prevailed in battle, killing the toothsome Mael, he cut off the latters head and strapped it to his horses saddle as a trophy. In subsequent riding, however, Maels teeth repeatedly grazed against Sigurds unprotected leg, creating a wound that became infected and ultimately killed Sigurd, now known simply as mighty dead.
