Dear Mr. Cornwell, I have fell in love with your Saxon Stories. I love the divided loyalty of the main character, his smarts, his understanding of politics and his lack of patience with religion. But mostly, I like the dry sense of humor that permeates the narrative. I have to confess that I didn’t get it at first. English is not my first language and it was only after a friend gave me an audio version read by Richard Armitage, that it really sunk in. I was disappointed that I did not find the other Saxon books read by him. I hope your editorial house can fix that, because your books deserve his talent. I had always been interested in late medieval history after reading Huizinga at school, but the Saxon Stories got me curious about a whole different facet (and geography) of the period. Your writing gave me a lovely gift. Thank you, Quel
