Mr.Cornwell, I wanted to take the opportunity to drop you a quick line and thank you for all the reading you have given me to do. I am only slowly beginning the journey of reading your vast body of work. I moved to Taiwan quite some time ago, and spend a lot of time travelling throughout Asia and between here and North America as well and generally have one of your books out whenever I’m on a plane or having a coffee somewhere. Living over here makes one appreciate the importance of history and culture to us in the present day. I am grateful that you have been able to describe and dramatize events of the past that allow one to travel so vividly back in time no matter what page we are on. I feel this especially as I find myself in a culture so far removed from the world I grew up in. Thank you. I would also beg you to please, at some point, finish off the Starbuck Chronicles. Leaving Starbuck, one of the most interesting characters I’ve come across in a book, halfway through his journey of moral discovery is troubling in and of itself, not to mention there is still the matter of Gettysburg and Appomattox to finish off the war as well. No matter, I am grateful for your works and thank you for your efforts. Regards, Michael Faass
