This is the first time I have ever written an author, but I feel your writing warrants it. I have been in the army for 10 years, and I am about half way through your Sharpe series…..again. I had read a few in high school, but could not remember them specifically, only that I enjoyed them immensely. I recently decided to read the entire series in chronological order now that I have the perspective of a soldier myself. I must say that I appreciate the portrayal of Sharpe and his loyalties to the men to his left and right. This holds very true even today. The truth is, most soldiers do not care about the policies behind a war. They merely fight for their buddies and follow orders. I also enjoy the chasm the Sharpe series portrays between the officers and enlisted soldiers. While that is still evident today, it is less pronounced and relationships like the one between Harper and Sharpe are far more common. I really had no questions to ask, but just wanted to say thank you for your books, they are fantastic. One more comment…..Starbuck…bring him back! With Regards, SFC Brandon Felton
