Mr. Cornwell, I recently discovered the TV series about Sharpe and it inspired me to re-read all the Sharpe novels. I’ve just finished reading “Sharpe’s Story” after reading the three short stories for the first time. I’ve now read your entire published Sharpe opus (as far as I know). I want to thank you for many, many hours of enjoyment and pleasure. It’s a marvelous body of work. I’m glad to hear there will be more Sharpe novels, though the line in “Sharpe’s Devil” that, as far as you know, Sharpe and Harper lived happily every after, is a fine way to think of them, in the end.
