I just wanted to tell you how much I love your Richard Sharpe books. I’ve read all of your books except the civil war ones, and enjoyed all of them, but Sharpe is my absolute favorite. I’ve read all of them twice – once as they were published, then a re-reading, and am on my third reading — for the first time in chronological order. I guess if you come out with a new one, I’ll have to start all over again. I purchased the complete collection on VHS and watched them twice, but as my VCR is defunct, it looks like I’ll have to invest in a DVD set — can you say obsessed? My husband thinks I’m nuts, but I notice that every time I watch my videos, he’s right there watching with me. There’s just something about Sharpe. I doubt that I’m your typical reader — I’m a 65 year old African American grandmother. I have never read, and don’t plan to, any other military series. I do love historical novels and great characters, which is, of course, what Sharpe is all about. Thank you for years of enjoyment.
