To Dear Mr. Cornwell, I want to thank you for your stories. I have read the other comments and I know that what I have to say has surely been said already, but thank you anyway. In particular, I appreciate the way in which you deal with the emerging Christian religion in the Arthur and Uhtred books. I admire your strategy because while at first it seems that the Christian characters are classic villains, you do take pains to soften the blow with some lovely fair-minded folks as well (Father Pyrlig, the warrior-priest, for example). I should point out that I am not a Christian, but went to church as a child, and I find the struggle between the old and new faiths fascinating, and sad. “The Enemy of God” is one of favourite books, especially the magical scene where Ceinwyn turns away from Lancelot and towards Derfel. Please come to Winnipeg! It’s cold here now but very nice in summer. With very best wishes, Kim Rannie
