A Newfoundlander, retired MSG, US Army, folks immigrated from Arbroath, Scotland. My Uncle Fred, who raised me, served in the Canadian Black Watch (13th Bn, RHC)in the First War. Dad was a sea captain, all gone now. Just a little background, and on to telling you how much I am enjoying your Sharpe series, recently discovered, and that I am passing them to my granddaughter, Sara, who loves history as much as I do. Making history is more fun, but harder on the body (Abn Bde, 1st Cav Div, 1965). Thank you very much for the enjoyment your series gives both of us.
