Dear Mr. Cornwell, I am really enjoying your Saxon Series, have read all 5 of them that came out so far, and hope for more. One of the greatest things about this series are the colourful interesting memorable characters with believable actions and reactions. Especially Uhtred himself feels alive, always amusing and full of surprises. Naturally, I was really curious about your other books, and read Agincourt and one from the Grail series. It was a bit disappointing. Comparing to the Saxon Stories, these other books lacked any character development and personality. The main heroes felt very generic and boring (just good and brave guys), and all the secondary characters were pretty flat too (for example, the priest Agincourt just plainly evil and cowardly). Of course, these novels were enjoyable as well, but I noticed a huge contrast between them and the memorable living and breathing kings, soldiers, priests, nuns, women and other characters with their interesting complex relationships of the Saxon Stories. (Of course I haven’t read that many of your other books). So this is not really a question, just a reader’s feedback. Overall, I find your books fascinating and very special. Thank you!
Anik
