Mr. Cornwell. I want to thank you for the many hours of joy that you have given to me through your marvelous novels. I have read (and listened to) most of your works. My favorites are the sublimely magical “Warlord Chronicles” (shamefully under-appreciated) and “Sharpe’s Rifles” and “Sharpe’s Escape” (I doubt any writer has better portrayed male friendship than you have through Sharpe and Harper — or, for that matter, Sharpe and Wellington). Yet each of your books has brought such pleasure to me. You have concretely improved my life through your art and for that I am hugely grateful. Thank you — and keep writing! Steven Susser
