Dear Mr. Cornwell, I asked a friend of mine, who is a retired teacher, to recommend some good historical novels a la Pillars of the Earth or Sarum. Thank God he put me on to your Grail series–which I finished in short order. Now on to the Saxons. Keep writing! You have a wonderful gift for transporting the reader on a journey of the mind.
