Mr. Cornwell, I’m a 29 year old math professor at a community college in Tennessee, although I’m originally from Alabama. I love to read, and I especially love to read history and historical fiction. I can’t believe that I just found your books this year. So far I’ve read the Grail Quest series, Agincourt, the Starbuck Chronicles, and I’m working my way through the Sharpe novels (they’re so many!). I love them all. My dad is an American Civil War encyclopedia, and I got him reading the Starbuck novels and he loves them too. However, he is very upset at me because I’ve gotten him hooked on these books that are ending so early in the war. I truly hope that Starbuck will “march again” as promised in the last book! I just wanted to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed reading your work, and to let you know that I think what you are doing is important. Too many people don’t take enough interest in our history, and your novels are a great way to make history accessible. I’ve learned a ton about the Napoleonic Wars (a subject that I have not read much about) just from reading the first few Sharpe books. So…. Keep up the good work and thank you. Aaron Willmon
