Dear Bernard, You have a talent and you capture a period that I love dearly. I am of Swedish and Norwegian descent, and appreciate the Viking element to many of your works. I also really appreciate the historical angle throughout your works. To be fair, the one criticism that I have is that your anti-Christianity slant comes across in your work and damages the stories slightly. This is my observation – nothing is black and white, but I feel that you sometimes create the church (which no doubt had corrupt characters) as completely corrupt and evil. And the pious characters are far too simple minded. It just doesn’t seem reasonable that all such individuals would be that way. That said, that is the only criticism I have – and I have been looking long and hard for historically-minded fiction authors. Please keep up the great work and thanks for what you do.
