Dear Bernard. I wanted to write you as an endearing thanks for your work. I am a huge fan of your Sharpe series and Thomas of Hookton. Sharpe holds a very special meaning to me, as I was first introduced to Sharpe by my late grandfather. Together we shared the books, and in time the videos, and now the DVD’s. I have extremely fond memories of my grandad, often involving sitting together watching a Sharpe film. It is one year today that my Grandfather passed, and in his memory I have started reading the entire series from start to finish again. Currently part way through Enemy. It brings me great joy reading these books, firstly because of the fantastic stories, and secondly due to the fond memories that each different book holds of the time spent with my grandad. I wish you all the best, and you have my gratitude. Kind Regards Sam Osborn O’er the hills and far away….
