Dear Mr Cornwell, I grew up in Sweden and my favorite book until I read the Saxon series was Frans G Bengtsson’s “The Longships” where he studied Islandic vers to come closer to a viking mentality and language. But I have to say that the deep essence of the spiritual and brutal truth that you have captured found me mesmerized and utterly grateful for what you have achieved. I have since read almost all your books and turned everyone I know on to your work. I am a big sailor and appreciate your books on the subject. I stocked up on those during a crossing of the Atlantic a couple of years ago. I have just finished my second round of the Saxon series and can’t wait for the next journey.
