Dear Mr Cornwell, I am a great fan and have read a number of your books. I am currently reading Azincourt and see you make reference to a knot used to tie a bow “cord” to a horn nock on a longbow. I am an archer of sorts and once made my own longbow and cord. You may well know this already but I just thought I would tell you that the knot used, is in fact a Timber Hitch.
