Dear Bernard…where do I start!? How is it possible to have such a mind as yours, to be able to write books that contain an element of fiction and yet to hold such researched truths, and still become so believable…how is that possible for a human mind!? Having read all of your books, I must blame you Mr Cornwell for stirring my passion for history so much that following the Arthur series I bought two Swords and took up lessons! (purely for enjoyment I might add!) After reading the Thomas of Hookton series I bought a traditional English long bow and took up field Archery! And now having finished the Sharpe’s series I have joined a rifle club! I dread what you might write next!! But thankyou thankyou for the enjoyment you have given me over the years!! I must finish with one more issue! Why oh why oh why, do film companies and BBC continue to produce absolute rubbish in the form of Robin Hood Films, Arthur films etc etc when all they would need to do would be to follow your books and bring them to film! It’s that simple!! Simon
