Sir, Thank you for rekindling my interest in the US Civil War, via The Starbuck Chronicles. While stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland, my (then) pre-teen son developed an unending unquenchable desire for all things related to the Great War of Northern Aggression, thus, we visited every known battlefield in the Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania arena, to include a 6 day camp at Gettysburg. It was, at that time, forced knowledge for me. while today it is fond memories. I am losing my vision to Macular Degeneration and my reading is limited to what is available in the form of audio books, Thank God, the Texas Talking Book Program carries your books. I received an unrequested copy of Battle Flag and upon noting that it was part of The Starbuck Chronicles, thought immediately of the television series, Battlestar Galactica. I decided to give it a listen and am extremely grateful for their error in sending it my way. I finished it and immediately requested all companion volumes. Your writing sir, is pure magic. As I listen to the narrator, I can close my eyes and see the scene unfolding. Having visited the battlefields only intensifies the realism. Thank you, and please, revisit The Starbuck Chronicles, to tie up the loose ends. Jon B. Smith
