Mr. Cornwell, As a student of history and an aspiring author, I have come to value your work not only for the significant entertainment value, but also for its scholarly merit as well. Though I’m sure this isn’t the first time you’ve heard this, and certainly not the last, I’ve become a big fan in the year or two since I discovered your work (quite by accident, I might add). I’m a great fan of ancient history and early British history, alike and recently took History of England course at the University I attend. The professor of the aforementioned course, while very intelligent, was, well, unintelligible. I’m proud to say that simply venturing with Uhtred through Wessex and now into Northumbria has given me considerable insight into the world of the Anglo-Saxons and the Danes. I hope soon to begin on your Arthur and Grail books, but as I’m sure your aware, reading time can quite be at a premium. Perhaps at some point in the future I might be in a position to request a signature, but at the moment I’m very much contented to simply enjoy your work and to make you aware of how your writing has impacted me, not only personally, but potentially professionally as well. I appreciate you taking the time to read this, sir, as I’m sure you have quite a lot more that you could be doing, and I hope that it finds you in the best of fortune. –Dustin Parrish
