Must…Have…More…UHTRED!!! No, really, do I have to wait until next October to see what the big guy gets into next? Uhtred is, with all seriousness, the toughest character I have ever read. And I have read at least 50% of the books that the great Louis L’Amour wrote. Mr. Cornwell, your books are a pleasure to read. I have devoured Starbuck, Alfred, the Archer (that’s what I call your Grail Quest Series) and Stonehenge (A very interesting take on the ancient, try the Astronomer Hawkins “Stonehenge Decoded” and the mystics Knight & Lomas “Uriel’s Machine” for two other interesting takes on this subject. That is if you have not already read them.) I have not yet read your Sharpe series but would very much like to. I think that I would sacrifice my marriage by picking up the first book. Your books are like a powerful drug, a three or four book series is akin to a short bender. A couple weeks time at most. I can get away with ignoring my household duties for that amount of time, but I hesitate to push my luck. I will close with a couple of good books from other authors that are not listed in the reading club section of your site. Edward Rutherford has written some great records of the history of England, namely London and Sarum. Also, Steven Lawhead is a very interesting author, I have tried Patrick, and the Celtic Crusades 3 book series and I highly suggest them as interesting diversions. That is, after you finish putting together the next chapter in the saga of Uhtred, the most intelligent and destructive force in literature.
