Dear Mr Cornwell I just wanted to say how delighted I was to see here on this website that your favourite books are the Warlord Chronicles. I wanted to let you know that they are my favourite books ever, and I have read and re-read them lots and lots of times. If ever anyone says what book would you suggest I always name the Winter King. The first time I picked it up was at a friends house. I was sitting waiting for them to get ready and go out, and so picked it up as there was no other reading material around. I found the first few pages odd, as i didn’t know where the story was going, but you made the lead character, Derfel so believable that I had to borrow this book from my friend. I really wanted to say a big thank you for these stories. I read a lot, and I find it amazing that one person can have so many amazing stories inside them! I myself am not a writer, although I have written a diary since the age of thirteen (I am now 36!!). I have now ordered The Grail Quest stories, which are to arrive this week.
