Dear Mr. Cornwell, I have recently come upon your works. I am by no means an avid reader, but tend to read when I go to bed…seems to help with sleeping. I have had to start reading your books during daylight hours. I recently finished all four Starbuck books within a month and my wife was very thankful. I kept her up with the lights on while I was reading your works. However she has slipped back into another form of depression since I have found your ‘Saxon Stories’. As a southron (born and raised in Atlanta, GA…including my entire family) and rumors that we are related to General Lee (though I believe everyone in the south claims relation). Let me express my deepest gratitude to you in writing a story about the civil war that compliments the fighting southron. As Potter mentioned; those who win the war write the history. Though I in no way support all of what we fought for…especially slavery…I do know that there are members of my extended family who died in battle defending their state. I thank you sir for depicting them so well. I was so glad to find so many books that you have written in the back of ‘Rebel’. Though, a small ‘sigh’ from my wife told me she was not as impressed. May you live long and write for many years to come, and know that a young man in Atlanta, GA will be reading them! -Rory
