One of the pleasures of an historical novel is getting an understanding and feeling for the time and place in which the story takes place. The story also has to be interesting enough to capture the attention of the reader. You do a great job in this respect and I have enjoyed your novels. I just reread The Gallows Thief and enjoyed it even more this time. I know you have said you would like to write another Rider Sandman book, so let this be another small request that you do so. After all I am sure that the members of the Serrifin (sp) Club were not too happy about Rider borrowing a carriage from them as well as there being more innocent people to save from the gallows. You can also try again, but I don’t think any one can explain cricket to Americans. Kenneth Haring
