Hi Bernard, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your writing. I’ve read several of your books and really enjoyed Stonehenge (reminded me of Hawaii by James Mitchener), but like most people I guess I’m finding Sharpe my favourite and will be glad when you stop writing so I can stop collecting and finally finish! lol I started reading Sharpe before I joined the (British) Army and went to the first Gulf War and after several years of not being able to read much because of being ill after the Gulf, I am getting back into reading Sharpe in a big way again. The good thing about my illness is that my memory is so bad, I can read your books over again and hardly remember a thing! :-) It’s funny how much the Army has changed over the last couple of centuries but on the other hand, lots of things never change, especially officers! So thank you for the pleasure of reading and giving me so much I can identify with! btw. Google Earth is great for viewing the real locations! All the best, Glenn
