My daughters, age 6 and 11, love to curl up with me and watch a Richard Sharpe episode on DVD. It’s good history and exciting without being overly brutal and terrifying to them. I am working to shift my effort from nonfiction to fiction and I hope to be able to put some of my nonfiction work on the American Civil War into more engaging fiction and reach a broader market.
