Dear Mr Cornwell, I am a third year history undergraduate at the University of East Anglia. The Sharpe series as a televised programme helped to get me hooked on history when I was little and I am indebted to you for that! Then I grew up and the Sharpe novels got me through the first two years of my degree, as I lost myself from the stresses of work in Napoleonic Europe! Now in my third and final year I have hit a problem, and as you can probably guess that problem is Starbuck! I never thought in a million years I would say this but I prefer it to Sharpe. I only have The Bloody Ground left to read and I am putting it off because there is nothing after because Starbuck is on his vacation. Please I implore you to add to the Starbuck Chronicles because I am training as a history teacher and I need to know that in future I will be able to curl up with a lovable rogue after a stressful day. Saying that another book on either lovable rogue, Starbuck or Sharpe I’d be happy! Thank you for both of them.
