Mr. Cornwell, It is a distinct honor to give my regards to the author who has given me so many hours of reading pleasure in the past few years. My many thanks for all the series you work so hard on. As a history major in college and former Armor officer in the U.S. Army, I’m always looking for reading material that is informative and entertaining. Though my tastes more often than not run to modern military history for my non-fiction reading, any age seems to suffice for pure entertainment. Thanks to you and Patrick O’Brien I’ve rediscovered the the French Revolution and Napoleonic periods, an revelled in the Britain of Arthur and Alfred. I just felt the need to say thanks and wish you many more imaginative and prosperous years. Question to you sir. Is there any chance that we may find out how Patrick Lassan earned his scars? The Crimea perhaps? I don’t mean to add to the barrage of “helpful” story lines you must be swamped with, but he’s another one of your fascinating personalities I’d like to know more about. Sincerest Regards, Allen Dawson
