Dear Mr. Cornwell, One of the high points I have experienced was meeting you at a bookstore in Los Angeles a few years ago. One of my regrets was never meeting George MacDonald Fraser. I know you and he were friends. You must be feeling a deep sadness at our loss, I know I am. To me, the big three are P. G. Wodehouse, Mr. Fraser and you. Together you three have given me more hours of sheer enjoyment than any human really deserves. If God was not a fan of good reading,I’m sure he is now.
