There have been three people in my marriage! My wife, Pamela, myself – and Richard Sharpe. Pam is absolutely besotted with the Sharpe character. She reads every book assiduously and owns a complete DVD set of the TV series. Pam even hails from a place very close to your original haunts in Essex. Isn’t it odd though how life evens things out. Quite by chance, I discovered the GRAIL QUEST books. I believe that they are by far the best historical novels you have ever produced. The characters of Thomas of Hookton, Eleanor, Will Skeat and others were just spell-binding. Thank you for giving me a great deal of pleasure. The ghost of Richard Sharpe has been exorcised.
