I am writing to you now after having finished Sharpe’s Devil. Surprisingly, I started Sharpe’s Tiger at about the same time last year. So, it has taken me a whole year to read the series, due to limited free time. But, nonetheless, I have enjoyed it thoroughly. It saddens me to have finished this wonderful series but I’m also glad to have finished reading it. (After all, its 21 books!)I just wanted to give you a big “Thumbs Up” for the series. It has to be the best series of books I have ever read in my life. For me, I cant bring myself to believe that Sharpe, Harper, and all the good fellows from the South Essex, never really existed. So cheers, Its be a good ride. Also, its come to my attention that you may write more. Is that true? Austin Calloway
Dear Sir. I realise that you probably have so many new ideas for the Sharpe novels, however, last night I had a brainwave while lying in bed. How about a pre Sharpe’s Tiger book. I think only the one could be done, but it could include Sharpe joining the army, his training and then leads on to his first skirmish in Flanders. I realise that the Skirmish was very small and that’s why I believe Sharpe joining and his Training would be a good idea too. Oh and I would call it Sharpe’s Risk. Anyway. Sorry to have wasted your time with my idea. Love the Sharpe books and I really hope you continue to write them. Thanks, Jamie Robison
