Like so many others having read and loved all your books, it is a shame that I can’t send you an idea. I have lived in the Middle East for 15 years and currently work in Bahrain, really different to the rest of the Gulf states. A local Bahraini has lent me a manuscript from the UK national archives that involved his grandfather in an action that took place around Bahrain in the 1860s and is a beautifully written report by the Commander naval officer of his small fleet to the Admiralty of the incidence. It so would make an adventurous story, starting in Bombay, the hero in the marines, the actions against the pirates, the marines landing and trying to take the fort etc.. etc Maybe I might one day try to write it, probably not, then pass it on to an accomplished writer!
